Ecuadorian Dreams Collection
Ecuadorian Dreams is a metaphysical journey through the artist's most endeared places of her native country and the process of her craft.
The first section features paintings crafted using mixed techniques and materials such as acrylic, embroidery, beadwork, and cross-stitch. These pieces pay homage to Ecuadorian flora and fauna through the artist's metaphysical universe, capturing landscape details with beadwork as a symbol of the visual identity and beauty of Ecuadorian craftsmanship.
The second part of this exhibition focuses on illustrated "ponchos" that reflect the artist's dreams during her travels and walks through the depths of Ecuador. These works utilize recycled coffee filters, evoking the shape of the poncho, an essential element of traditional Andean Ecuadorian attire. The filters were transformed with pen, watercolor, and various appliqués such as buttons and textiles.
